If you are interested in getting experience playing in a full symphony orchestra setting, performing top notch musical literature, and working with some of the finest conductors and high school musicians in the state, then the Northeast Region Orchestra festival is interested in YOU! Application and Audition materials ARE BELOW!

ELIGIBILITY: The applicant must be a student in grades 9-12 and a member of their high school band or orchestra. Students must be able and committed to attend ALL of the above listed rehearsals and performance in their entirety in order to be considered. Your signature on the application affirms that you understand this commitment and obligation. String players for the OMEA All-State Orchestra are chosen according to the Regional Orchestra Auditions. Participation is selected equally from all OMEA regions. Wind and percussionists for the All-State ensembles have already been chosen through a taped audition procedure over the summer.

● Region will send the following number of students to the All-State Orchestra:
○ 8 violins (regardless of how they sit in your region, rank order 14 will play 1st violin at AllState, rank order 58 will play 2nd violin at AllState), 6 alternate violins
○ 3 violas, 3 alternate violas
○ 3 cellos, 3 alternate cellos
○ 2 basses, 2 alternate basses
October 5: Send list of accepted students and music to directors
● Include listing of AllState members and Alternates
